time

time -- this had become an issue for us. we had raised our families different (very different) and his family was beginning to have issues w/ the fact that dad had a relationship and was moving on w/ his life. they were welcomed to be a part of the change and move along w/ us in a relationship, but they chose not to. i was very disappointed that it had to be this way, but i'm not living my life to please them.
